How did I get here?

In 2017 I began NC Fashion Design and Manufacture at Glasgow Clyde College.  Unsure of where I was headed, I knew I wanted to work with my hands in something create and this gave me a great base to work from.  HND Textiles allowed me to learn the properties of different fabrics and how they can come together whilst also working on my design process of garments.  I took inspiration for an upcycling project from the book 'Sunset Song', imagining natural fabrics with pale tones as a background for hand painted self portraits, enhanced with embroidery.  The theatrical element of this project and my own personal background/interest in theatre led me to decide that I would apply to the BA Costume Construction course which I began in September 2020 and graduate from in July 2023.

I am an overall creative person with a lot of different interests but my main skill is within Costume Construction.  If you happen to be interested in working with me then I'd be happy to hear from you.
